Here's a nice bit of news. This year Toronto's indy race is free on Friday for practice. That's right. You can go on the grandstands (where typically it's been $200) and sit for free..first come, first serve basis. Friday July 16 you can watch a practice race for nothing. This is done in the hope it would spark interest in people who've never seen a live race before (shame on you). Now, if you want a true race and not some kiddy cars, then head on down to Montreal this weekend for the Formula 1 Grand Prix. For as little as $200 or as much as $1000 you can experience the most exciting 2 hours of your life, live in person. Or if you're broke like me, settle for the free Toronto one. I'll be seeing all of you deadbeats on the 16th.
Pictured true F1 race captured by yours truly. Not pictured, wussy Toronto race.
Update: Did you know you are paying for the government to bring Formula 1 to Canada? This article confirms it, a third of $25 million went to bring Formula 1 to Canada, so you as a Torontonian might as well get your moneys worth and go see a race. You paid for at least one of em whether you liked it or not.
Cost: Free (in theory)
