Articles like this should make you sick. Mislabeled as News instead of the blatant editorial/opinion writing. Well they can do anything they want, it's their website and paper, but we have a lot of naive sheep in this city who will take it as the only facts, and 'omg' we can't trust, make any sort of contact with our community officers anymore. Then when little innocent Johny gets mowed down in a hail of bullets heading to kindergarten on Jane St, the bustop crowd witnessing the shooting will keep it to themselves, cause their little asses will be too scared to talk to the officers. Or how about your family home gets burglarized and your family assaulted while you are away, but God forbid your neighbor should call in the screams heard to police. Oh, no, I read it in the Star that the officers can assault you for no reason, no honest, it's there in the article. I'll just sit here and mind my own business, nothing gained nothing lost.
Good job Mr Bruiser quoting me 5-10 incidents over the many thousands that you went thru, over 20 years, in a big metropolis like TO, without any circumstances whatsoever. Fact #1 Toronto has the most docile and patient members on its force, probably second to Tokyo. If you were to pull statistics from any other developed nation and truly compare them, then you can make a true comparison. Peppering the article with the phrase "the justice system heavily favours police," is as ignorant as saying "the justice system heavily favours lawyers". Time to pay your infraction ticket Mr Bruiser and redirect your hatred about that somewhere else.
